I know most people don’t think twice about what they drink out of but if you're even a little bit tapped in, you probably already feel it... certain materials just hit different.
I’ve been diving deep into the real (and hidden) energetic benefits of drinking from cobalt, uranium, copper, and manganese glassware. Yes—glass, metal, and even the color of what you drink from can literally change the energy of your water... and your body.
Let me break it down for you, one by one.
Cobalt Glass – That Third Eye Booster
Gateway to Intuition & Clarity
Cobalt glass is that gorgeous deep blue stuff you’ve probably seen. You can find fancy tumblers or old apothecary bottles but beyond just looking cool, it actually aligns with your throat and third eye chakras. So if you’re trying to speak your truth, connect to your intuition, or just get mentally clear, drinking from cobalt is a vibe... perhaps literally. I want to be clear. Main stream science says nothing of the sort. I asked Chat GPT about it's benefits and this is what it said: "Cobalt glass is regular glass infused with cobalt oxide, which gives it its deep blue color.
Benefits:
Aesthetic appeal: Deep blue glass is visually pleasing and often used in fine dining and decorative glassware.
Light protection: The blue tint can help filter UV light slightly, which might protect light-sensitive beverages (like certain oils or wines) from degradation.
Chemically stable: Generally inert, meaning it won’t leach chemicals into drinks under normal use.
Heat resistance: Typically similar to standard glass; good for hot and cold drinks.
Considerations:
No significant health benefits: The cobalt in glassware is bound in the silica matrix, so it doesn’t leach into drinks under normal use.
Potential hazard if chipped or ground: Ingesting glass dust is dangerous, but this is true for all glassware.
Verdict: Mostly aesthetic and functional—safe and attractive, but no direct wellness benefits."
Still, some people say it helps structure your water better, like it holds intention. And look, mainstream science won’t say much about that, but we both know water holds memory and responds to energy. Actually, modern science is beginning to say the ladder.
Use it when:
You’re journaling, meditating, or manifesting.
You want to say what you mean and mean what you say.
You're ready to see things more clearly—in all the ways.
Want one? I found some beautiful sets of cobalt tumblers and glasses on Amazon. Perfect for altars, rituals, or even your everyday iced coffee. I’ll link my faves.
Uranium Glass – Glows for a Reason ☢️ ☢️ ☢️
Quantum Frequency Conductor
Okay, now THIS one is wild. Uranium glass—also called Vaseline glass—has actual uranium in it (like the element). Don’t worry, it’s super low radiation, nothing harmful. But under blacklight? It glows an eerie green. Some people think that's just fun and vintage... but people like us? We know better.
Energetically, it’s said to enhance your aura, amplify frequency, and even interact with subtle energy fields—scalar stuff, zero point, all that juicy quantum energy. Some believe ancient cultures used similar materials in spiritual tech. True or not? Well, it's a rabbit hole, honestly.
Use it when:
You’re charging water or elixirs under a UV light or the moon.
You want to tap into deeper levels of your aura.
You’re doing energy work and want a little extra sauce.
⚠️ CAUTION ⚠️
Just don’t store acidic stuff like citrus or vinegar in it. It's more for moon water, tea, or small ritual sips.
You won't find this easily, not on Amazon, but places like Etsy will have some for sure.
Copper – Ancient & Powerful AF
Conductor of Vital Force
Copper isn’t just for Moscow Mule mugs—it’s been used for thousands of years in Ayurvedic medicine, spiritual rituals, and even energy tools. It’s super conductive—not just electrically but spiritually. It is said to purify water with antibacterial properties. It is a tough one to clean in my experience as it will develop patina over time.
When you store water in pure copper (especially overnight), it’s called tamra jal in Ayurveda. The water absorbs trace minerals, kills bacteria naturally, and supposedly balances your body’s internal energies. On an energetic level it’s a conduit for life force. It’s grounding and empowering all at once.
Our homes used to have copper plumbing... it's a shame that is not the case for modern plumbing. Was that on purpose? I believe yes, and not just to save on cost.
Use it when:
You want to feel grounded and energized.
You’re doing chakra balancing or breathwork.
You’re drinking intention-infused water first thing in the morning.
Make sure it’s 100% pure copper, not plated. Many Moscow Mule mugs are lined with Stainless Steele inside too. IT HAS TO BE COPPER that the water is in contact with. I found some beautiful hammered ones that are food-safe and ritual-ready. O always carry one in my car, and have been drinking out of it since 2016.
Manganese (Amethyst) Glass – The Violet Flame in Your Hands
Now this one most people overlook. I definitely overlooked it... Manganese was added to clear glass over a hundred years ago, and when it gets enough sun exposure over time it turns a soft violet or sun purple. It’s magical. And it's not just pretty, it’s powerful.
This glass connects with the crown chakra and the violet flame energy of transmutation. Think cleansing, clearing, spiritual elevation. It’s like drinking light.
People say the industry stopped using manganese because the purple color was seen as a “flaw.” But I believe they phased it out because it was too powerful. Of course, we have to consider this is alternative thought and not supported by mainstream widely accepted science. This is purely through a metaphysical lens.
Use it when:
You’re doing shadow work or clearing old energy.
You’re ready to level up spiritually.
You’re working with the Violet Flame or Saint Germain energy.
These pieces are harder to find, but antique stores and Etsy sometimes have real “sun purple” bottles.
How to Make It a Ritual
Here's how I would use these drinkware pieces in my own practice:
Cleanse them first – energetically (smoke, salt, moonlight) and physically.
Hold them and speak intention into the water.
Sip slowly and mindfully. Visualize the energy flowing through you.
Switch them up depending on the work you're doing—copper for grounding, cobalt for insight, uranium for energy work, manganese for clearing.
Honestly, once you start drinking with intention from these vessels, you’ll feel the difference. It’s subtle but powerful—and it’s one more way to weave magick into your everyday life.
